On Saturday May 18, 2024 the Equality Project in Cache Creek hosted a fundraiser. A Strawberry Tea was
held in conjunction with a Silent Auction. Both activities were well received and well supported.
There were many items to view in the silent auction. Strawberry Shortcake complete with
strawberries and whipped cream was offered to the tea/coffee drinkers. There was a door prize
with free ticket included as part of the entrance fee and consisted of a beautiful hanging basket
donated by Desert Hills. The basket was won by Gertrude Rieck! In addition. we held a raffle for a
handmade bird house donated by Ray Dupras and was won by Sue Collins.
There were many beautiful and useful items offered at the auction and again we were fortunate to
have Ducks Unlimited paintings. All items are now in the hands of the proud owners.
The Cache Creek Equality Project received approximately $1,040 to put towards continuing to serve the
community. Thank you to all who attended and supported this event, as well as our sponsors who donated
computer time, and many other items for the auction.
We might make this Tea an annual event!

On Saturday September 16 The Equality Project in Cache Creek held a fundraiser addressing flood recovery for their building. A Harvest Tea was held in conjunction with a Silent Auction. Both activities were well received and well supported. There were many items to view in the silent auction and many pies, tarts and squares were offered to the tea/coffee drinkers. There were also 2 door prizes raffled! Our winner was Sarah Wynter and she was very pleased. The highlight of the auction was 2 beautiful Ducks Unlimited paintings, and of course they are now in the hands of the proud owner.
